STORY OF THE SEASON

TKR Women didn’t have the best of starts to their campaign however they never stopped believing and never stopped fighting. A thrilling super over win over GAW Women filled them with confidence. Days after that victory, Jemimah’s calm & calculative knock sealed their place in the finale. TKR Women displayed some exemplary fighting spirit all season long and now are just 1 win away from clinching the trophy.

PLAYING CONDITIONS

After a string of night matches where dew had a big role to play, the final between TKR W and BR W will be a day game. A day game completely eradicates the dew factor and the nature of the surface will remain the same throughout the game. The players will also have to adapt to the searing Caribbean heat and still deliver their best performance. It will be a battle of who adapts better and it will be interesting to watch how both the teams go about it.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR

Jemimah Rodrigues

In the previous game, Jemimah showed everyone why she is rated so highly in the world of women’s cricket. Despite wickets falling around her, Rodrigues kept fighting, took the chase deep and finished it off in fitting fashion. Jemimah will be looking to carry forward her good form into the finale and help her team lift the trophy.

Shikha Pandey

Shikha has been someone who has contributed for the team all throughout the season with both ball and bat. Her ability to swing the ball upfront and her experience with the bat really provides the X-factor to the team. Shikha will be looking forward to delivering another important contribution in the finale against the Royals.

Samara Ramnath

TKR’s young spinner Samara Ramnath has displayed terrific ability all season long. The 16-year old turned the tide in the previous game for the TKR women as she picked up two crucial wickets that too off back-to-back deliveries to help her team get the advantage. Young Samara will be aiming to add to her tally of wickets and help TKR get the advantage in the big final.
