The only game of ours that hasn’t been interrupted by rain at any stage, started off with another toss win. We chose to bowl first yet again to secure this victory, displaying Pollard’s infallible judgement in these matters.
A blistering bowling attack led by Khary Pierre (a T20 best of 3-18), kept all of Guyana’s batsmen in the hut padded up and ready to walk onto the field at a moment’s notice. We ended up restricting the Warriors to 112/7 by the end of the innings, with their 3 figures coming up on the board with only an over to go. This is the kind of dream any chasing side looks forward to.
Queen's Park Oval bathed in the sheer brilliance of our bowling attack 💪 Our batsmen have their work cut out for them. 113 to charge on to #TheHomeRun pic.twitter.com/QOmg2WFJXU

Maintaining an otherwise same team as the last match, Tambe was switched out with Raza for this one.
We win another toss and will be kick-starting this Chicken Curry vs Curry Chicken ⚔️ by bowling first! #GAWvsTKR

Today's #Playing11 in partnership with @plaympl: Same as yesterday, only change will be @SRazaB24 playing instead of @legytambe#CPL20 #TrinbagoKnightRiders pic.twitter.com/nIyevLSuIf
Our spinners laid siege into the Warriors’ top order, with the first three wickets blowing right through those wickets, courtesy some beautifully deceptive bowling by Pierre. Unfortunately, Ali Khan needed to be subbed out by Akeal Hosein after a tense hamstring made its presence felt. Khan’s absence was more than made up for by Raza, Pollard and DJ Bravo.
A special mention is in order for the young Tion Webster, whose presence of mind and fantastic athleticism brought in Pierre’s third wicket from beyond the boundary line. We’re sure this one’s going to find its permanent spot in our highlight reel this season.
AMAZING! What a catch from Tion Webster, he timed this perfectly. #CPL20 #GAWvTKR #CricketPlayedLouder pic.twitter.com/6KGMlJiPwg

Despite Simmons going out early after posting 19 off 19, Webster (27 off 32) held on to see in DM Bravo with a couple of sixes and boundaries. Seifert soon joined DM Bravo, which duo could soon become our favourite new finishers. Their steady partnership (63 off 49) kept chipping away at the target, until Seifert decided to end the match with two beautiful strokes right down the ground.
With 5 out of 5 in the bag, the Knights remain unbeaten this season, drawing #TheHomeRun ever closer, and perching us on the top of the table with 10 points and a net run rate of 0.767.

Kieron Pollard (on the 5th victory & Khary): "I thought the guys were fantastic right through. Very pleasing to see Pierre do well against lefties. That will do his confidence a world of good knowing he can bowl to left-handers and get them out. T20 cricket is about momentum. Sometimes in life you take it as it comes, so we'll continue to turn up every time to win cricket matches. That's what is driving us in that dressing room."
Khary Pierre (Man of the Match): "I'd like to thank Almighty God. It was a good all-round team performance and I'm happy for the win. I was watching the games before and the spinners were getting some purchase. It was an easy game plan, just keeping things disciplined. I'm happy that I'm part of this team."
